New Swears – Funny Isn’t Real

One glance at New Swear’s tracklist tells me these brats live fast. Hailing from Ottawa, these guys must be a problem for national security—staying up all hours of the night, saying all the new swears, shaking down the block with their gang vocals sneering and jeering at the establishment and the anti-establishment at once. These jams are imbued with the abandon that the word “fun” is supposed to suggest, so maybe Funny Isn’t Real is meant to say that these jams aren’t real either, and you can’t catch them, they are just in your head, and they’re stuck there.
